When I was 25 Years Old, I was earning about 4–6 Lakhs a month initially and at its peak up to 10 Lakhs a month consistently for more than 2 years. I had a successful Tech Support business and 2010,2011,2012,2013 and 2014 were the golden days of “Genuine” tech support Industry. I have to say that the average More than 50 Lakhs/Year income was consistent for about 2–3 years. So,I feel that I am qualified to answer the question. Every analysis and feeling is of my own personal point of view and if it defers from any other individual than it is because that we have different perspective for life and point of views.

So, Lets begin with the analysis , how my life was before I hit the Jackpot and after that:

The Beginning

Way Back in 2009, I was living in Malkaganj , North Delhi. I am from Guwahati, Assam and Most people thought I am from Punjab because I did not have that typical North Eastern look. But anyway , I came to Delhi for Graduation and after I finished graduation I started working in Tech support industry. Its a job where you need to fix IT issues by remote access and you get paid in dollars from US clients, which I thought I would do temporarily . However I fell in love with the work because I enjoyed doing it so much and even if i would not be getting paid,I would still go. But I was paid about 50K–60K /Month(including incentives) , which was a very good salary by 2009 standard and as a fresher i was not getting that much in my core field . Soon I switched companies and by 2011 , after 3 years I understood that , No matter which company , which interview, I would always get selected. My confidence was sky high, my knowledge was one of the best in the industry and my management and leadership qualities were evident to me during my 3 years period of time. Now, Back to my personal life, I was living with some of my friends, I want to use their nick names here, first is Chotu , because he was Junior , second one is Panda, because he have a heavy body and third is Mithi ( its a long story why he have this nick name) and my nick name was Mark , because that is what I used in my work. All my fiends used to call me Mark.

Starting of The Business and earning

I wanted to start my own company and was looking for a partner. Its hard to manage all the things and after few failed attempts , I found a guy I needed. Well, Everyone wants to do business for money , only 1 in a million had the vision to see the future for the company and who do not care about money , but I can not wait for that guy to be my partner, I wanted a guy who do not ditch me . All of you guys , who are wondering , why I am looking for a partner? why I can’t do things on my own. It is because Tech support is a 24X7 operation and You can not handle by your own , you either have to hire a manager with 1 Lakhs a month fixed salary , which you will not get by the way , because he will not join a new company . so, Two guys are needed for management and it is a necessity. So, we started the company with my partner, we rented a huge 3BHK flat, bought computers and office accessories,furnitures and hired 5 guys and a office boy , “Vobration” ( Once my phone was Vibrating on office floor, as it was vibrating, he said “ sir aapka phone Vobration kar raha hain! , there was a huge laughter on the floor and rest of the guys made his nick name Vobration)

Now, when we started , we thought if we can hit break even on the first month , it was more than enough .

But

First month profit , 3 times more than the investment .

Now I answer the real question , how does it feels ? to earn 50 Lakhs/Month

We expanded our office to a new bigger office. we soon collaborated with few institutes, colleges and consultancies , where me and my partner used to go for hiring.

You Feel like You Have power :

There used to be may be 200 candidates at a time in Job fare and every one wants to get a job , the institute , the college wants to place their student and treat you like a king once they know you are the owner. You know that you have the power to hire and you know that you are expanding and you do not even know how much you want to expand ,may be you want to hire 10 people or may be 30 or may be 50 . Once you hire them , when they see you on the floor, you are like a super star, they will ask : “ sir, aapne he mujhe hire kiya tha na ?” , they will complement your shiny suit, your style or your shiny car that you brought . They see a role model in you .You look smart, you have charm, you have the money , you have the sense of humor ,You bring a shiny car, you buy a new suit every week , you have the leadership quality,All guys would dream and wish to be like you after 4–5 years , Once you enter office, you are the king there. you have absolute power. after 1 year of starting the company , we had 75 people working at a time. We had full time HRs to hire people so we did not even know who is getting hired and people double of my age was working under me. My income as far as I remember was around 10 Lakhs/Month. We had a full time CA, he taken care of Taxes at that time and still does Taxes and all the legal matters. so that income was after tax deduction.

You Get Respect and Lots of Respect :

Once the success of your life is spread among your friends , you become like a star. You enter a party “ arey pranjal aan gaya” , guys will stand up and offer you the seat. No matter if some one is getting selected in IRS, or working as a custom officer by cracking competitive exams. They were the star of yesterday , You are the talk of the town, they wants to hear the latest things from you, They wants to hear the next move and interesting things. and as your life is moving so fast , you have a lots of things to tell and charm them. Plus , you know what, when you swipe your Platinum card and tell “ guys , drinks on me “ , You are not going anywhere my friend. because they will not let you go anywhere until the party ends. Real Respect is earned and Fake Respect can be bought at the same time. That was my first lesson about respect.

You feel everything is Moving so slow :

I got a call from one of my old buddies , “ hey man , I heard you opened a successful company , lets catch up “ . I thought he would talk about job and I was also prepared to tell my old classic line “ Alright , please forward your resume , I will give it to HR, they control Hiring” .

There were few rules in my work:

1. No hiring because he or she is friend or ex colleague. Hiring only on merit basis and after consulting HR and approval.
2. No “ Ladki Baji “ in office, Never call a female staff alone in cabin , Never flirt, never ask her out for a coffee or date. Always keep a distance.

There were more internal rules , but those 2 are enough for now to carry forward so that you guys can understand what I am about to say :

well,we met in a Restro-Bar in CP ( Central Delhi ) my friend as usually , asked about my life and after that he came to the topic where he said he was thinking to switch job, looking for a management position.He was thinking about getting married with his girlfriend , he was like , “ arey yaar , tera maje hain , itni saari ladkiya tera office main” , “ yaar naya iphone lena hain” “ yaar gaari ki EMI bhi itni hain , aab ton Job swtich karna he hain” “ Yaar bandi bol rahi hain Maldives Honeymoon ke liya , maina bola itne paisa kaha hain, Goa chal lenge” “ Yaar , Chije itni mehnege ho gayi hain , chalo ne triple rate kar diya hain daru ka “

I realized, Life is so slow for these guys , Very Limited , very very Limited.

He said , his girlfriend is working for a real estate company and they are selling flats in Dwarka, Delhi. If I want he can talk to his girlfriend and he can also help in financing the flat for me through his contacts. Well, he wants to help his girlfriend achieving her target. He said , when you can come along with me to see the flat ?

I said” right now “

I took him in my car, met his girlfriend, and saw the Flats.Semi Furnished, 2BHK and 3BHK in Dwarka. My friend’s girlfriend gave me tons of advice on Home buying and financing , and asked about my budget. I said “ I will pay all in cash , up to 60 Lakhs “ .she got the shock of her life time, 1 minute ago , she was addressing me as “ pranjal” now she is addressing me as “ sir “ . I got the possession of my flat within 3 months. It was less of a home , but more of a party place.

You Just Spend , You Do not See the Price on The menu or Price Tag

My friends from Malkaganj remained as my close friends , the only difference is that before we all were paying rent for a flat , but now they were all living rent free in my flat. It was my invitation by the way , they were not ready initially. When we used to go to CP ( central Delhi) for drinks or for celebration there always used to be discussion and thinking about budget and how much can be the maximum bill. on my 27 th Birthday in a Upscale restro-bar in CP , “ Chotu said “ pranjal Bhai , kitna order karoge, bill 15–20 Hajar ho gaya hoga” , I replied “ Chotu , main bill nahi dekhta aaj kal”

I still remember, as a student, I was waiting for the discount season to begin in Kamlanagar Market in Delhi university area and go to different showrooms like Adidas, Nike etc. I like Adidas casual shoes and usually buy from Kamlanagar showroom, so showroom boys are very familiar to me and just like in any organization there are some long term employees, so there were few showroom boys which knew me and worked there for couple of years.Before I would ask for discount on each shoes and see the price tag before making a decision. When I first time went to adidas showroom after I opened my company , I selected 2 pairs of Adidas shoes , the showroom boy which already knew me by face as I was a regular customer, he said “ Bhaiya , unme discount nahi hain , discount wale yeha hain” ,I said , Bhai , aab main Tag nahi dekhta , nahi discount” .

Your Love Life can be very very Smooth, I got addicted to foreigners:

I am a computer man, I do things online. Found a Online site for dating and there I met a woman from Ukraine. After we talked for about 3 months , and I saw her body from every angel on web cam. I applied for Visa and went to Ukraine for 25 days. I was thrilled and had the experience of my life time . so many single and beautiful girls. There I met my girl in Kiev , we had intimate time .However, by this time, my Interest shifted to blonde girls . I was kind of a play boy , I would change girl after every 3 months. in the duration of 2 years, I went to Ukraine 4 times and met and had intimate relation with 9 different girls. Apart from my first girl, rest all 8 were natural blonde. Ukraine girls are very kind and are very very different than Indian woman. While in India I was reading news about Rape, about acid attack, murder because of love . If you have 2 Lakhs for 25 days , your life is so smooth . You have plenty of choices , you have girls who is ready to love you very much,ready to create a family and are crazy about you.They just need a smart , not ugly , caring man , they are independent , almost all of them do some kind of job , so if you can take her to a good restaurant and spend time with her in the “nature” as they like to say ( for me its Park) , its more than enough. They will love you and will be committed to you . There is no caste difference problem, there is no Govt Job necessity, There is no religion issue like in India and for you guys , getting to bed is not a big issue, they will be equally interested( they are open minded but not characterless )

Soon after almost 2–3 years when I could no longer afford the regular trips , then you realize, the first girl I met in Kiev , she was the one who was most kind to me and understood me as a person,have good compatibility ,she understood my situation and she decided to visit me in Delhi. My advertising company for US and digital marketing training company for India is doing well and now I could afford multiple trips again but now we are in a commited relation.You value real love and as a respect i will post a photo here

Your Humble Beginning Never leaves you No Matter You Earn 50Lakhs/Year or More Than that:

When Travelling to Ukraine , I thought of Booking business class a lot of times, but I always did booking in economy class. I only tasted expensive wine in parties but I never bought for myself , I never planned a party in Taj or Oberoi, our permanent place was CP and its Restro-Bars. I never booked 5 star hotel , but always lived in economy class when Travelling abroad. The Most expensive Car I bought was Hyundai Verna and watch , which I still wear was Tissot, However I went to Audi showroom and also thought about buying Tag Heuer, but I never purchased those things although those were in my reach .

I guess my middle class mentality was still haunting me and I guess will haunt me even if i earn more than that someday , because what I earned was not a family given fortune , nor it was a lottery money . It was self made and I understood its value. So, each time I will do a purchase, automatically my mind reminds me that how much i have gone through to achieve this and what I was capable of buying when I was doing a 50K job. I must respect what i have, no matter I earn 50 Lakhs/Year , or 50 Million/ Year.

Its my experience of earning More Than 50 Lakhs/Year in India for consecutive 2 years at a stretch . I hope my answer will give you an insight . I can not discuss a lot of things here which I did because Its a professional platform.

Amid this period I was single and Mom and me use to discover coalitions for me on online entryways. I use to go on dates orchestrated by my mother :) (Every weekend)

My manager tossed me out of the organization in Nov 2013. so I was there for precisely a half year.
